National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) launched the Online Grievance Management Portal to enable Scheduled Castes population of the country to file their application and other atrocity and services related grievances online and to get them addressed in a time bound manner. About NCSC The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) is a Constitutional body established under Article 338 of the Indian Constitution to safeguard the rights of Scheduled Castes (SC). One of the core mandates of NCSC is addressing grievances faced by the SC peoples, including issues of discrimination, atrocities, and deprivation of rights. The NCSC acts as an advisory body to the government, ensuring that the constitutional safeguards for SCs are implemented effectively. It monitors the development, protection, and empowerment of Scheduled Castes through its recommendations and oversight. The Commission has evolved through various constituencies and reforms, with the current NCSC comprising a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Members who continue to work towards the upliftment and inclusion of Scheduled Castes in the social, educational, and economic spheres of India. To streamline grievance redressal, the Commission has introduced the e-Grievance Management Portal (eGMP) to facilitate justice and address grievances for individuals belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC). This digital platform allows SC petitioners to file complaints online, making the grievance redressal process more accessible, transparent, and effective. Overview of the portal The portal will facilitate an end-to-end e-filing of complaints and grievances and their tracking. Finally, it is intended to make the hearing process work on similar lines as e-courts. This portal is linked to the Commission’s website and one can file one’s complaint upon registering on it. The facility to upload documents and audio/video files is also available. This would supplement the physical submission of complaints and grievances. The portal can be accessed at https://ncsccmis.nic.in/ To file the online grievance, click here. To track the status of online grievance, click here. To view the Hearing schedule of NCSC, click here.
